Weed management is one of the greatest challenges facing agriculture. The extensive use of herbicides is no longer compatible with a sustainable future, which means that other methods and solutions need to be developed.
Using artificial intelligence and automotive sensor technology, GreenTech has developed an innovated attachment to tractors that detects weeds and eliminates them without using harmful chemicals. This mechanical system is controlled by advanced software and algorithms that are trained to identify “good” plants and get rid of “bad” ones. In just 1.5 years, we’ve gone from an idea on a page to a functional, working model, all based on lessons we’ve learned in automotive engineering.
